Theatre of the Greeks

The history of theatre of Greece began with the process and celebration of gods which they honor. “City Dionysia” is a festival which is celebrated to honor the god, Dionysus. Songs are sung by different men, when the festival is celebrated in the praise of their god Dionysus. Plays are accessible only a festival of City Dionysus.
The main point of traditional theatre was Athens. Athenians used to spread these types of celebrations to its majority of associates and endorse the ordinary uniqueness.
Greek celebrations which are conducted at the early stage, the directors, dramatists and the actors were the same kind of person. After a moment, it was permitted only by three actors to execute in every drama. Afterward a few dumb actors were permitted to act on stage. Choral songs were played at the time when the music was permitted and the lines were delivered.
The forms of the theatrical were the comedy, satyr and the plays of tragedy.
There is a great variation between the plays of comedy and tragedy. There is a dealing of mythology in the satyr plays but in a manner of comic. The perfect form of tragedy was presented by Aristotle in this Poetics. He gave a perfect thesis.
Plays of Tragedy:
The first “actor” was from Greek and tragedy was originated from Thespis. But on the other hand his significance is unclear, and in the chronology of tragedians of Greek, he is rated as late as the sixteenth.
The fifth century is well known by three most famous playwrights who are Euripides, Aeschylus and Sophocles.
Plays of Comedy:
Prehistoric theatre of Greek also has significance and meaning in terms of comedy. Imitation is the aspect which is used for the derivation of plays of comedy; we have no traces or whatsoever of its origin. Most of the plays of comedy were written by Aristophanes.
Theatre of Greek:
Buildings of theatre were known as theatron. Three major components are consisted: the skene, the audience, the orchestra.
